With the start of every school year, there comes the conversation of who is “Given” scholarships. Those that don’t have to do anything more than be brown and/or lady like. This time of year also brings the discussions of Affirmative Action and the evil unfairness of letting the brown folks have everything “Handed” to them. For those of you who do more talking than listening, more writing than reading and more believing of what you’re told than researching for yourself, I give you the following reminder:
In order for a company to call themselves “Diverse” and/or say they use “Affirmative Action” hiring, they must have someONE (As in, only ONE person in the entire company) hired from the “Minority” list. According to both the “Diversity hire” initiative and Affirmative Action initiative (That’s right, it’s an initiative, NOT a law) in addition to racial minorities, white women, handi-capable folk (both mental & physical) of every race, there are plenty of (NON Handi-Capable) WHITE MEN who are also constantly used as THE “Diversity hire.”
How? Well, included in the “Initiatives,” are ANYONE of ANY race and ANY gender who has served/is serving in ANY branch of the United State Military. The military SHOULD be part of this initiative but conveniently enough, it’s WHITE MEN who are the second most beneficiary (Second only to white women, the number one benefactor of Affirmative Action) being brought in under “Affirmative Action” to serve as the “Diversity hire.” Yes, you read that right! The top two groups that benefit from Affirmative Action are First, white women and second, white men. Interesting, huh? (See more detailed post here. It also includes links to back me up!
