I’ve been following this thread for a day or so now.  I was really on the fence about how I personally felt about this issue.  Yes, there is a clear right and wrong.  But I grew up in a predominately wealthy, white school district, and then I went to a predominately wealthy, white college, where a lot of people have dreads.  I would sometimes snicker at how strange it looked, but I never, ever thought about their cultural appropriation.  I get it now.
