Here’s the problem with your reply, me “Not knowing you” or “Not knowing your story” would be a GREAT reply and a reasonable one had you not posted your original comment.
Perhaps this is all a big misunderstanding. Perhaps. However, there is NOT A SINGLE REASON to believe that.
The post you replied to was about the Confederate flag and it’s racial implications. Your reply was simply “Guilty of being white.” What conclusion SHOULD a person come to from that comment?
If you were truly “Just listening” to this song then it is completely reasonable to believe that you KNOW THE LYRICS. Now, with those lyrics in mind and the actual topic of conversation you posted “Guilty of being white” on, is it REALLY out of the realm of reason that you were making a racist comment? Is it?
Your “Story” has nothing to do with your comment. It has nothing to do with the topic you comment on and it has nothing to do with the LYRICS of the song title you wrote on a racial topic SEEMING racist.
Now, if that is not how you “Meant” it, fine. However, there is NO REASON to believe you meant anything other than “Guilty of being white.” To which the lyrics are…RACIST. Are they not?
