escapistsonhigh reblogged your post: The Capital Letter

all, whoever wrote this kudos to you for writing this excellently and…see where you’re…

I SEE SO MUCH WRONG WITH EVERYTHING YOU WROTE HERE.

For now, I would like to focus on one single point. You spent a lot of time talking about how “Black” is not a correct term and how we are “African.” This thinking makes me wonder what the hell you read. Do you know FOR SURE that my “Black” heritage is African? If you have “Black” heritage, do you know FOR SURE that it is “African?”

I do believe I addressed this very problem in the post that you seem to have such a problem with. You seem to be perfectly fine with the idea that Black = African (of some sort) IT DOES NOT. Please ask the Black Latinos or the Black people of MANY DIFFERENT COUNTRIES

I have no idea where my “Black” ancestors came from. I have NO PROOF that they came from Africa. If you’d like to provide that for me, at that point and ONLY at that point will I agree that I am of “African” heritage and not “Black.”
